Vehicle & System Architecture
Functional, logical and E/E architectures with safety, redundancy and interfaces defined up front.
- Architecture
- Development
Architecture choices fix most of a program’s safety, cost and integration risk. We define the functional, logical and E/E architecture, allocate functions to ECUs and freeze interfaces before development starts. For by-wire and ADAS, we design redundant power supply, communication and compute so the vehicle stays controllable after a first fault. We work in PREEvision or in your own architecture environment.
What we do
- Define the vehicle architecture and the functional and logical system architecture.
- Allocate functions to ECUs and define the E/E redundancy strategy.
- Specify interfaces and communication: CAN, CAN FD, LIN, automotive Ethernet.
- Write signal lists and communication matrices.
- Derive system requirements and allocate them to hardware and software.
- Define chassis ↔ powertrain ↔ ADAS interfaces and arbitration.
- Design fail-operational by-wire architectures: redundant power supply, communication and compute.
- Structure the ADAS chain: sensors → compute → actuators (steering, propulsion, braking).
- Design safety-oriented architectures: degraded modes, safe states, redundancy up to ASIL D.
