Training
Systems Engineering & ASPICE
Requirements, architecture and traceability built to hold up in an ASPICE assessment and on the vehicle.
- Duration
- 2–3 days
- Format
- On-site · modular · hands-on workshops on real cases
This training covers systems engineering as practiced on automotive programs, and the ASPICE process assessment model used to evaluate it. Content is adapted to the participants’ programs, process maturity and target capability level. Workshops use realistic cases: requirement sets, architecture extracts and traceability matrices similar to those met on actual projects.
Program
01
Systems engineering in the V-cycle
- Stakeholder needs, system context and operating modes
- V-cycle phases, work products and reviews
- Interfaces with mechanics, hardware and software
- Variant and configuration management basics
02
Requirements engineering
- Requirement quality: atomic, unambiguous, verifiable
- Functional, non-functional and interface requirements
- Attributes, baselines and change control in DOORS
- Workshop: rework a weak requirement set
03
System architecture & allocation
- Functional and logical architecture, static and dynamic views
- Allocation to hardware, software and mechanical elements
- Interface definition: signals, timing, CAN / CAN FD
- Architecture trade-offs and recorded design decisions
04
Integration, verification & traceability
- Verification strategy and test specifications per level
- Integration steps from MIL and SIL to HIL and vehicle
- Bidirectional traceability and consistency checks
- Coverage reporting for release decisions
05
ASPICE process assessment model
- Process groups SYS, SWE, SUP and MAN; assessment scope
- Capability levels CL0–CL5; PA 1.1, 2.1 and 2.2 for CL2
- Base practices, work products and information items
- Main changes between ASPICE 3.1 and 4.0
06
Assessment readiness workshop
- Gap analysis on a realistic project extract
- Evidence collection and interview preparation
- Typical weaknesses and improvement actions
- Action plan toward the targeted capability level
